Animal Kind Veterinary Hospital knows that there are times when your pet may need a surgical solution to a health problem. Our network of specialists along with our experienced staff veterinarians perform almost any surgical procedure your pet might need, including:

  • Spay and neuter
  • Laceration and wound repair
  • Orthopedic procedures
  • Soft tissue procedures such as mass removals, abdominal exploratories, and others

Your pet will have an IV catheter placed so that fluids can be given during the procedure, and we will give an injection before the general anesthetic to calm any anxiety your pet might feel. While under anesthesia, your pet is kept warm and, using the most current technology, your pet’s vital signs are monitored continuously. Trained veterinary technicians carefully monitor your pet and use electronic equipment to measure blood pressure, heart rate, blood oxygen level, and body temperature.

We provide complete pain management to make your pet as comfortable as possible before, during, and after the surgery. After your pet goes home, we will call you to check on his or her progress and to make sure everything is going well.

Spaying and neutering pets is a good way of lowering the unwanted pet population. There are more dogs and cats born than there are homes for, so the sad solution is that numerous unwanted healthy animals wind up being euthanized.

Depending on breed, your pet may be spayed or neutered as early as five months of age. Animal Kind Veterinary Hospital will recommend to you the most appropriate timing for your pet’s surgery.

Therapeutic Laser Treatment is the application of red and infrared light on any area of the body to improve and enhance healing and pain relief for acute and chronic issues.

Utilizing the cell’s natural response through Photo-Bio stimulation, Therapeutic Laser Treatment has been used to provide pain relief for soft tissue injuries, musculoskeletal disorders, and dermatological conditions. It helps reduce inflammation, improve the speed and quality of wound repair, and increase function of neurological tissue.
